Euroguidance Network Meeting February 2013

 

NCGE and the Euroguidance Ireland Centre were delighted to welcome colleagues from 32 different countries to a two day Euroguidance meeting held in Dublin. The meeting was very productive, incorporating EU Commission updates on upcoming initiatives in the area of guidance and education as part of the Erasmus for All Programme, 2014-2020.

Delegates participated in international workshops incorporating topics such as:

• National career week in Latvia.
• National Career Counselling Award in Slovakia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic.
• National cooperation platform between the mobility networks (Euroguidance – Europass – Eurodesk – Eures – Euraxess) in Austria.
• Communication and dissemination strategies of EU networks in Italy.
• National Lifelong Guidance Forum and its activities concerning Guidance provision in Cyprus.
• The role of guidance in the validation (APEL) process in Spain.
• The role of Euroguidance in supporting the Croatian Qualification Framework.
• Development of CMS framework in Portugal.
• EG Greece CMS interesting practices: The Mobility skills seminars & material - The adolescents' skills e-portfolio".
• Presentation of Career Mat (EG Netherland).

The Euroguidance Co-ordinator, Hilary Lynch, requested that delegates from each country prepare examples of evidence based guidance in advance of the meetings. These were displayed on country boards throughout the entire week of guidance events, incorporating the Euroguidance Network Meeting, the 12th ELGPN Plenary meeting and the National Conference on Guidance from February 25th to March 1st.
